Bungalow Renovation with Pitched Roof Conversion
This extensive renovation project saw the complete transformation of an existing flat-roof bungalow into a spacious, modern home, with a new pitched roof, vaulted ceilings and a fully refurbished interior.
One of the biggest changes was the replacement of the original flat roof with a traditional tiled pitched roof, creating additional loft space and allowing for impressive vaulted ceilings in the open-plan kitchen and living area. Velux roof windows flood the space with natural light, giving the room a bright, open feel.
The new kitchen, supplied by DIY Kitchens, features shaker-style cabinetry, quartz worktops, complemented by engineered oak flooring. Large aluminium sliding doors, supplied by Lowther Aluminium, open onto the rear garden, connecting the living space with a covered patio area featuring brick pillars, glazed sides and a GRP flat roof.
The renovation also included a complete electrical rewire, new plumbing, a utility room and new windows and doors throughout, finished in contemporary matt aluminium.
To the front of the house our joinery team built a new oak-framed entrance porch with a tiled roof by Future Roof, to add character to the front elevation, while our groundwork team installed new stone patios, pathways and a gravel driveway complete the transformation.
All roofing works were undertaken by our partner company, Future Roof, including the new pitched roof and flat roofing elements.
The result is a completely transformed home, combining traditional materials with modern finishes, generous living spaces and a much-improved connection to the garden.
